The Summerlin Whole Foods Has Plans to Relocate

The Howard Hughes Corporation has announced that it’s building a 7.4-acre outdoor retail and entertainment center that will be anchored by a Whole Foods. The new center will be located at the intersection of West Sahara Avenue and South Town Center Drive. According to the article, this isn’t a new grocery store, but a relocation of the existing Fort Apache store which is currently located at the intersection of West Charleston Boulevard and South Rampart Boulevard.  Despite receiving negative feedback on the store’s relocation, the new retail center will serve as an incentive to expand in Downtown Summerlin and provide walking trails for the community. As of now there is no set date on when the new retail center will open but it is estimated to be early 2025 as Howard Hughes stated tenants will be ready to build out spaces in the third quarter of 2024.
